In this post we go over a ball handling drill for youth athletes to use. This is a basic video to help them get used to the fundamentals.
You Need A Partner For This Drill
One person at a time will be going. We got three groups. Start on the sideline then go between between at each cone that is setup. The last one you will go around and repeat the ball handling at each cone. Then you jump stop, pass to your partner.
While one player is bball handling your partner is going to be doing active recovery. Do squats and hold a squat until your partner comes back.
Emphasizing Passing The Basketball
We have to get better at our fundamentals, especially passing.
We don’t want to get the ball taken from us when we’re dribbling either. We go up with two hands, get the ball, and do not let everybody take the ball from us. How much does Steph Curry get paid?
All replied: A million dollars.
