Hard Work Beats Talent

Hard Work Beats Talent

During my journey because I was that below average athlete…

I share with people all the time, I wasn’t most talented person on the court. I just outworked everybody.

THAT’S ALL I DID!

“And I didn’t work! I didn’t do nothin’ I’m telling you.”

Different Work Ethics:

That’s funny, how we are different parts of the spectrum. When I went overseas I knew how to shoot, but I had to learn how to be efficient. Meaning I wasn’t allowed to shoot 30% from the three point line and be able to keep a job.

What we did, my brother and I, we invested in this machine called the gun. You’ve heard that, right? The rebounder machine.

Yeah, we invested, I think it was about $5,000 at the time, and after we invested that I led three different leagues in three point percentage after that. I had work ethic.

There’s people who were more talented than me, jump higher, quicker, faster, stronger. I had to outworked them, to get the accolades that I received.

It’s that process, and staying with the process and being patient and trusting the work that you’re putting in… is going to pay off.

Did This Help You? If so, I would greatly appreciate it if you commented below and shared on Facebook
